BiB - Zara in a strait onesie
A long time ago I attempted to alter a catsuit into a footed onesie by sewing socks to the legs - this was far before adult onesies became popular. Since I hadn't used it yet in a shoot, and I wanted to try out creating a strait onesie, I unearthed it and sewed the sleeve ends together.
So when Zara put it on, her hands didn't come out of the sleeve ends, and her arms were connected, quite limiting what she could do.
Of course I also added a padlock to make it absolutely safe. I used the simplest way to make the catsuit lockable: just pierced a hole on either side of the zipper. With a small enough padlock you might not even be able to pull the zip down, but even if you can, the suit is still closed around the neck and can't be taken off. Of course making holes in the fabric is irreversible, and struggling might tear the holes, so currently I usually add D-rings of fabric loops instead, but in a pinch this is a quick and workable option.

Then I gave her the key and watched her struggle for quite a while to open the padlock. First she tried to move her arms to the back, which worked thanks to the slightly stretchy sleeves, but didn't help her any in reaching the lock. Then she tried it again from the front, and even with her covered hands finally succeeded in opening it.
Nice try, but it didn't help her any, since she still didn't manage to pull the zipper down ;-)
